junges dokfest

We live in a visually driven world that works by us perceiving its stimuli with our eyes. Visual media surrounds us every day in apps, social networks, and on the various screens we switch between day after day. junges dokfest tries to counter the clear, little-changing concepts of the mainstream, to break habits and to open the rich treasure of the visual trove in order to awaken curiosity, to generate astonishment and at the same time to produce knowledge about what the cinematic medium – and the documentary film in particular – can do and be. All five short film compilations are online this year, including one in cooperation with the Aysun Bademsoy-special program and one feature-length film in cooperation with DokfestGeneration. The short films in this section will be available for educational purposes until 19.12.2024. Detailed educational materials, the dokfest dossiers, are available to accompany four short film compilations.
