Know Hope

Addam Yekutieli is considered a kind of Israeli Banksy and one of the country’s best-known artists. When he sprays graffiti or writes slogans on streets, walls, and bodies, the painter goes by a name that is not really a name, but a title: “Know Hope”. Constantly revolving around the artist’s life and work, constantly following his images, words, and steps, Omer Shamir’s feature debut raises questions about artistic freedom in Israel and the dwindling hope for an end to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
